Hi,

Is this Linux host a x86_64 bit server?

if so check for similar type errors in the Host Agent for Linux (MLR) logs: %ECC_INSTALL_ROOT%/exec/MLR610/MLR.log

SDK C P T 4035967888 (1.23 MB) cecExec::WaitForExitStatus => Child terminated with return code 0

MGG_WIDESKY 15:49:28 C P T 4035967888 (1.23 MB) MGG_WIDESKY => glibc version = glibc-2.5-42.el5_4.3

SDK  C P T 4035967888 (1.23 MB) tokenizer => Cnt = 4, '2.5-42.el5_4.3'

SDK C P T 4035967888 (1.23 MB) tokenizer => getIntAt(0) = 2 ('2')

SDK C P T 4035967888 (1.23 MB) tokenizer => getIntAt(1) = 5 ('5-42')

MGG_WIDESKY C P W 4035967888 (1.23 MB) [[API-Library]] => Dynamic Linker error (Unable to load the

         -    '/opt/ecc/exec/MLR610/libsyminqapimt.so' shared library.)

Confirm the HBA_FILE is created within usr/ecc/exec/MLR610?

The host agent on Linux host(x86_64) is dependent on the inq tool from SE. If the inq tool is not picking up the missing HBA, host agent will miss reporting those HBAs.

If there is no HBA_FILE within usr/ecc/exec/MLR610 or an issue with the HBA_FILE. Download and executed the inq.LinuxAMD64 utility with the command inq.LinuxAMD64 -hba -fibre -hba_file HBA_FILE -create to create a new one within usr/ecc/exec/MLR610.

Review Primus Solution emc211600 for steps to manaually create this HBA_FILE file etc....after recreating this file stop and start the Linux host agent.

If the Server is not a x86 64 bit or If the issue remains after trying the above steps.

Review the below information is correct before opening an SR with support.

Check the following steps from emc97044 before collecting the below logs :

o        The /etc/hba.conf file is used by Solutions Enabler and ControlCenter Host Agent to identify the location of the SNIA libraries.

How does the above apply if the host is actually a Linux (Redhat) guest with GateKeepers provisioned to it (will be used for ControlCenter Symmetrix Host Agent)?
