StorageScope FLR - Not able to view subfolder level and file level information

Hello All,

I am trying to get a report on the Size of subfolders and files under a Parent folder. So When I go to SRM Views -> File Level Storage --> My Host --> Top Level Folders and Directories, I see the parent folder for example "T:\ Projects" but am not able to drill down under this folder to see the subfolders and the files.

The File Level Collection DCP for the host has been enabled and these are how the fields look like -

Scope of Data collection - All files and folders

Collect Summary information on all file types - Yes

Limit folder data to maximum depth of : Blank

Collect File Owner information - Yes

The Storagescope FLR License is Enabled.

I have tried restarting the Host Agent

Am I missing something ?  Is there another way to gather such a report on the filesystem usage ?

Thanks

StorageScope FLR does not provide the ability to drill down to sub folders under a parent folder. If you want to see folder usage, you can create custom query in query builder by selecting object Folders and choose columns: Actual Size, Allocated Space, # File - Total, #Subfolder -Total, and then filter on your folder name, for example "T:\Projects".

Thanks. Yes, it looks like that the only way I can get the data I want is to use custom reports.

Is there a way to display the data in graphical form ?

You can create custom snapshot by copying the SQL from custom query you created from query builder and select Chart instead of Table in Create Snapshot window. In this way your custom query can be displayed as chart in dashboard. I would suggest you modify the SQL to give title for each column as column alias so it will look better.
