StorageScope 6.0 Migration ???
Anybody know the procedure to migrate storagescope 6.0 from one server to another? I know how to export and import the DB but I want to know if there are any files or anything else I need to move as well.
I need to make sure all the queries that each user has created are not lost as well so if anybody knows the location of the stored queries that would be very helpful.

If the StorageScope components are currently installed on a standalone server, then all you may need to do is the following:
- Uninstall StorageScope Repository
- Uninstall StorageScope Server
- Install StorageScope Repository on new server
- Install StorageScope Server on new server
- Import historical StorageScope Repository (emcstsdb_exp.dmp) from old server onto new server using the following command in :\ECC\Repository\admin\emcsts_scripts:
emcsts_import_db.bat emcstsdb_exp.dmp
Obviously, you may want to formally double check this procedure with the Support Center (via a SR) as there may be some caveats based on the exact setup of your ControlCenter environment.

Use this procedure to migrate or recover a Single Infrastructure ControlCenter deployment and it's components to new hardware. The benefits include:
¿ Upgrading the Operating System from 2000 to 2003
¿ Recovering ControlCenter after a disaster
¿ Swapping hardware due to lease terminations
¿ Upgrading the hardware specifications to manage a growing Storage environment
Patch#3928 is available to download at powerlink. Patch 3928 includes a script and procedures to Backup and Recover for Migration and Disaster Recovery. Use this procedure to migrate or recover a Single or Distributed Infrastructure ControlCenter deployment to new hardware.
If you have any questions please let me know.
