host appears as 'localhost' in ECC console
Hi,
I have a linux host which appears as localhost in the console, although his name is shown correctly in the MGA.COMFILE, MLR.COMFILE, MGA.log, MLR.log, uname -a and hostname commands.
Even if I delete the host from the console, and restart the service on the host, it is still created as 'localhost'.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks
Maxim

I opened a case and EMC found that the host had its own hostname appear in the first line of /etc/hosts (under 127.0.0.1).
Deleting the hostname from there did the trick.

The Master Agent (MGA) & Host Agent for Linux (MGL) logs would need to be investigated to see what's going on here. Best to open a SR with Support.
