ECC and MRLK.
Hello,
I would like to know whether it is necessary to install MRLK on ECC server in order to be able to see a a state of SYMMETRIX connected to mainframe running z/OS or having SOLUTIONS ENABLER installed in z/OS will be enough for this task?
Thank you very much in advance,
Arseney

You don't need the MRLK as such, but you do need to deploy a symmetrix agent and the appropriate version of SE software onto an open systems host somewhere as you still need the symmetrix agent functionality to discover the MF symmetrix array.
Once that's sorted, you will then need to create a proxy discovery policy and in that policy, specify the IP address of the LPAR running the SE agent.
You should also adjust the symm agent data collection policies as per the tables in the ECC performance and scalability guidelines document otherwise you'll be consuming a heap of MIPS on the MF side...
Good Luck,
Glen.
