Does ECC 6.1 needs licenses upgrades from ECC 6.0, please?

When we put in our order for the upgrade media it also seemed to generate a task to have new licenses sent out. I'm not sure if this is some EMC internal automated process, or if someone was doing some extra work at the time. If you didn't get the new licenses with your upgrade media you should contact EMC licensing (licensing@emc.com). They will verify your entitlement and get your new keys to you.
