Creating BCV devices group on DMX4 using ECC 6.0

It is so helpfull forums HI all

I would like to create BCV meta group devices on the DMX4 using ECC 6.0
did any one have procedures and if it can be created by ECC 6.0 or should use SYMCLI and if it will affect my production if I create it ??

ECC is able to help you in building (and eventually mapping) metavolumes. If you build your metavolumes with BCV devices, you'll obtain a BCV meta device. Can you please explain what's a "BCV meta group device" ??

When you create metavolumes you won't affect production (at least in my experience).

However since it looks like you are trying to use ECC, this thread will automagically move to a better location within a few seconds .. :-)

thanks for moving it , any way I mean Meta BCV group is just BCV group

Hi Mohammad,

You can configure Meta Devices in CC Console by right-clicking on the Symmetrix > Configure > Meta Device Configuration.
