Cannot discover adapters for VmWare ESX Servers
Hello,
I'm running EMC Control Center 6.1.0.0.119.
I started the VmWare agent and the agent discovered my VmWare servers.
However, once my servers are discovered, I can't see any adapter for those servers and I cannot proceed to lun masking with ECC...
How can I do to discover adapters for my VmWare servers ?
I tried with right-click/New/host Fibre Port, but it's not working, the error message is something like this HBA already exist.
Thans for your help,
Xavier

Expand out the Connectivity section and the Unidentified Ports section under that. You can arrange these however you like to make it easier, but effectively you need to find the WWPNs in this listing (one at a time). Right click on one of them and select Topology | Associate Port. Make sure Host Fibre Port is selected on the next dialog, then you will be presented a list of hosts. Scroll down the list and check off the ESX server. Confirm your selection and the WWPN will be associated with your host. Now go back and do the same thing for the other HBA/Port.
This still doesn't solve the auto discovery problem, but it will allow you to do your provisioning.
