Can 6.1 UB5 Native Installation packages be used on ECC 6.1 UB7?
I have ControlCenter 6.1 UB7 installed, but the only native installation packages I see on Powerlink are 6.1 UB5? Can I still use these?

Yes, you can install UB5 native installation packages as you did before. After installation, you can right click on the host on ECC console and select "Apply patch". This will upgrade host agent's version to 6.1.0.7.254.

Hi,
What do you think this method can be used on Windows Server 2008 R2? As I can see the UB7 is the first release that officially support WS08 R2.
Thanks,

This should work fine on W2K8 R2. There was lots of talk previously about issues with the agent running on that version, so it would certainly install. Once you apply the patches everything should be good. I wouldn't wait to long between the install and the patch though :-)
I will qualify this though by saying that I haven't tested this myself. I don't have any SAN attached W2K8 R2 yet, so I'm just going by what I've read from other's experiences.

I have a 2008R2 server that's showing up in ControlCenter as "Windows XP 6.1" (FAIL)
Is there something I'm missing? I can't push the host agent out to it nor can I discover the HBA's.
**DISREAGARD** - this host somehow ended up with the 6.0 master agent on it. Upgrading to 6.1 fixed it.
