Active zone set on fabric "fabric name" is different from active zone
Dear All,
I got the error message as following:
ECC 5.5 Alert: Active zone set on fabric "fabric name" is different from active zone set in ControlCenter.
Could you give some suggestion to solve it?
Thank you,
Dennis Dai

My guess is that there is an unsupported type of zoning running on the Cisco switches....
ControlCenter only supports WWN & FWWN zoning. However, Cisco switches can have other types of zoning such as FCIP zoning, interface zoning etc. When those unsupported type of zones are encountered during a switch discovery, ControlCenter cannot import the zones and post the "Non-supported data encountered" error.

This occurs when the zoneset on the fabric is different from the zoneset in ControlCenter. This usually happens when a vendor-specific SAN management utility is used to add or remove zones from the fabric.
Make sure that FCC agent is running at latest patch level.
Re-import the fabric information:
In the ControlCenter tree pane, go to Connectivity > Fabrics
Right-click on the fabric that is causing the alert, and select Zoning > Import Zone Set > Import Active

Importing the zone as suggested is not a bad recommendation, but I have seen this occur sporadically during the normal periodic switch configuration scan performed by FCC have timed-out.
To be safe - reimport - however if this happened outside of an actual zoning operation it is likely this is a false alarm related to the FCC agent failing to complete its configuration check.

I have tried above procedures but the problem was still alive.
I stopped the FCC agent and then deleted MDS-Switch.
I try discover switch again and error message as following:
Error code = -1
"Non-supported data encountered" ?!

I change the port-zone to soft-zone and it seems OK.
Thanks,
Dennis
