Yes, absolutely. You can select and drag several folders at once from your hard drive to the flash drive.

Hi Robbie,
Is this an Inspiron 3000? What is the operating system? Are you just trying to copy files to CD or are you using a backup utility?

Hello Osprey, thank you for your interest. My computer is a Dell Dimension 3000. Operating system Windows XP SP3.
My nephew is giving me a more upto date computer. I would like to back up all my files to disc as a matter of precaution should any mishap occur during the transfer of my files etc.
Thank you,
Robbie.

Hi Robbie,
Wow, a Dimension 3000! My daughter had one of those in high school. Very nice machine.
Your best bet for backing up files would be a flash drive. A 16GB flash drive holds more data and is significantly faster. Then you can just drag and drop files from My Documents to the flash drive.

Will make the purchase ASAP.
The following question will show the level of my knowledge. Is it possible to transfer a complete folder to the flash drive as opposed to file by file ?
thank you,
Robbie.
