How do I move my files and operating system onto a new hard drive on Inspirion 580S.

My hard drive has recently failed the diagnostic and needs to be replaced.  I have since installed a  new hard drive into bay 2. I need to move everything from the old drive onto the new drive and remove the old one once that is completed. So what's the best way to go about it?
