HDD in excess of 2TB

Can a Seagate 8TB Sata HDD be installed into the Dell XPS 8920  (or 8930) as the secondary drive (or even a third drive), with a 512GB SDD as the boot drive? I keep hearing from Dell chat reps that there's a 2TB limit, although I currently have a 5TB HDD installed as a third HDD in an HP Envy with a 256 SDD boot drive and a secondary 2TB HDD.  Thanks.

I have a 3TB Seagate Sata HDD in my XPS 8930, along with a 2TB HDD and a 1GB NVME as the boot drive.  I'm not sure what would limit the HDD size?

I was told by two Dell reps (in two different chat sessions) that 2TB was the size limit for expansion drives on that PC. I was kind of suspicious of their responses since I have a 5TB on my current HP.  I just needed to hear from actual owners how they were configuring their machines. Thanks!

Never heard of Google, huh?????
