HARD DRIVE ERROR 2000-0142
My hard drive got an error and it is to be replaced. Model is 15r 5521 and i want to know whether sata 3 and 7200rpm is compatible for it or not?

Its SATA 3. For best results get a SSD which will significantly speed up the performance of your system:

Clean install Windows 10 TH2 onto the SSD:

Thanks for the information but i request you to suggest me the exact model no and of which company i should buy so that it is available in india i.e WD or SEAGATE or SAMSUNG.

No idea regarding places to purchase in India as I don't stay there.
For SSD drives Crucial, Samsung and Intel are the most reputable. So if Crucial are a no go in India. Go for the Samsung 840 Evo or 850 Evo series. Get at least 250 GB but preferably 500 GB and make sure its 2.5 ". See this thread here where others have upgraded using the Samsung SSD:

I could find these company ssd's in amazon.in but they were some what costly. so i was thinking to go for seagate ST1000LM014 1TB SSHD. However i want to know its compatability with my laptop?
