Confusion over error message 2000-0142

My Dell Vostro 3500 has been overheating and I decided to run diagnostics. I received an error 2000-0142 Status 79 and on researching this error read that it is hard drive failure.

I see no evidence of the hard drive failing. All is running fine apart from getting hot. When at home I use a stand with a fan and have no problems at all, but didn't bring my fan on holidays with me.

Is it possible that the diagnostics result is incorrect because of the overheating?

Thank you for any help and advice.

It may be a result of the overheating, but the drive is clearly failing its self-test.  Solve the overheating problem NOW, or it will result in not only a drive failure but likely a system failure.
