6.8 is currently in Controlled Release and will most likely be GA in the Spring.
It will include:
Search Auditing & Reporting
Support for Public Folder
PST Export (Discovery Manager "Lite")
In-Place Migration Tool Support
IE9 Support
CTA (Cloud Tiering Appliance) Support

Hi Gary,
This is great, thanks. Do you know if the in-place migration tool will support in-place conversion of Centera archived EX data?
Best Regards,

Yes it will.
You can leave the EmailXtender data in its existing location and it has the ability to read it in its native format.
The indexes remain EmailXtender Indexes until at such time you rebuild them and then they become S1 Indexes.
It will require the EmailXtender data be attached to a different server than the S1 Native Archive server.
If you are in a multi-server environment that won't be a problem but single server environment will require an additional one.

Thanks Gary.
This bit: It will require the EmailXtender data be attached to a different server than the S1 Native Archive server
leads me to believe taht S1 will be pulling the EX data back through the EX/DX host via CIFS/SMB, rather than reading it directly from Centera via the Centera API. Am I correct or is it more subtle than this?
Best Regards,
Mike Horgan

It connects directly to Centera or any other supported storage and the EmailXtender SQL Server to "Migrate" the SQL Data.
It doesn't require the EmailXtender server at all.
It has more to do with dealing with the Archive format differences.
At least the initial release will require the Archive servers for each format.
That may change in a later release.
