How does EmailXtender handle encrypted documents?
Hi, I was hoping someone may be able to help with this query?
We will be archiving some emails with encrypted attachments. The encryption takes place at the client side and having done some testing, we are naturally still able to search on the "from", "to", "subject" and body of the email - as this remailns unencrypted. And as expected the words in the document are not indexed and therefore cannot be searched for.
My question is:
Could you tell me how EX handles this encrypted data? I.e. does EX recognise that the data is clearly random encrypted data, in which case it doesn't index it. Or will it index the encrypted characters? ... @%$$%$%#
