Missing Devices in Policy Manager

Hello folks,

i have a couple of DMX arrays that were decommissioned a while back (4-6 months ago), they were also removed from ESRS configuration (we have two gateways per site). So when i look in Configuration Tool i don't see these devices but when i look in Policy Manager they are listed as "Missing Devices". Do i simply select them and press on the button that says "Remove Selected Missing Devices" ?

Thanks

I see in that case, in order to remove it,

  1. Click on REMOVE to remove the device.
  2. Click on APPROVE.
  3. Click SYNC NOW to make sure the Gateway will update the change that was just made.

Let me do a little testing in the lab.  What version are you running?

The Policy Manager is not dynamic in that respect.  It will not add new managed devices nor will it remove unmanaged devices without user intervention.  To remove a device from Policy Manager that has been unmanaged, use the Missing Devices link on the Home tab like you described.  To cause the Policy Manager to see a managed device added to the Gateway, click Refresh on the Policy tab.
