ESRS VE upgrade from 3.08 to 3.10
Hello,
I read the EMC Secure Remote Services 3.10 Release Notes and it sounds like there is no "upgrade" path ie you cannot upload the upgrade image and apply it to the existing 3.08 virtual appliance, you have to re-deploy and re-configure it. Is there any way I can export the configuration and apply it to the new installation?
Will the new VA reconnect to the EMC ESRS servers and join the cluster (I have two ESRS VA's).
Than you.

You can upgrade to 3.10 from an existing ESRS VE install through the GUI. It's possible the option was not showing up there for you earlier. The 3.10 patch should apply in the same manner as prior releases, starting with 3.04 using the GUI upgrade method.

Thank you ryanbrancel
"Patience is a virtue" they say!
As soon as I received a notification from EMC that 3.10 was released I naturally went through the Release Notes and the Install/Ops guide and go confused as the GUI interface did not show the magic notification:
"VER : 3.08.20.00 UPDATE AVAILABLE (VERSION : 3.10.00.04) VIEW UPDATE "
Yes, I did go to the Upgrade tab and tried to download the new version but it did not work.
Case closed. Thank you.
I published a blog post on How to upgrade ESRS VE some time ago. The upgrade procedure is still the same:
