Volumes Mount Read-Only if done manually

I have RM 5.0.2 running at my production site. I have local clones on the prod cx700, san copy them to a dr cx700 where they are snaped through RM, then have clones I configured in Navisphere from the replicas.

If I mount the snaps through RM, they are fine. Completely R/W. If I mount the dr clones or the snaps through Navisphere they are Read-Only and I cannot write to them or restore SQL or anything.

Is there a way to mount these clones and/or Snaps manually at my DR site to different Hosts Read/Write?

Hi Drozz -

Looks like you are not unsetting the VSS hidden and Read only bits on the volumes when you are manually mounting them.

Use diskpart to unset those atrributes prior to attempting to mount to a mount point and try again.

Let me know how it goes.
James.

James, as usual you are correct! Thank you for your help as I've mounted both a clone and snap manually, set the attributes and viola!

Have a good weekend!
