Recoverpoint/SE 4.1 License misunderstanding !
Hello ,,
I have a misunderstanding about the Recoverpoint/SE license.
i know that the license is based on Array and the Cluster is limited by two devices.
my question is illustrated with the following scenario:
will RPA1 and RPA2 replicate the data to the DR RPA ? based on the SE license.
what I am see that if the license is based on array, the replication from RPA1 and RPA2 to one array on the DR RPA that should work, and will the cluster limitation will be a problem here ?

How many VNX's per site? Guessing you might be looking at 2 at Prod and 1 at DR.
I don't believe your configuration above will work, seeing that the DR RPA would need to be "running" both clusters configuration (multiple repository luns). What might work (though I'm not sure EMC will sell it to you), is add a second set of DR RPAs. So you have two RP Clusters:
RPA1 <-> DR_RPA1
RPA2 <-> DR_RPA2

I'm wondering if your diagram is complete...
Is your Source storage the same as your destination? Which type of storage..VNX??
Or do you have another site from which you're replicating?
Are you working with Physical or Virtual RPA's?

Not sure I fully understand the question but RP/SE is limited to one CX/VNX per RP cluster with a maximum of two RP clusters per RP system.
The number of RPAs in a cluster with RP/SE is identical to other license types - ranging between 2 RPAs which is the minimum to 8 RPAs which is the maximum.
Hope that helps,

they are physical RPA.
both of RPA1 and RPA2 in the main site. the production volumes are VNX5400.

As per the previous responses you also need a minimum of two RPAs per cluster with the arrays connected to all RPAs in the respective clusters.
Please consult the RecoverPoint Installation and Deployment Guide.

there is two VNX, each one connected to one RPA.
and another VNX in the DR site.
so you telling me that the SE cluster is limited to one VNX per cluster so this solution will not work.
that's mean it must be to change the license to EX or CL in order to implement this solution ? or it will not be enough because the DR RPA could not join two clusters at the same time ?
