Recoverpoint - Storage Group with and without replicated LUNs
Hi
Got a question about Recoverpoint Consistency Groups - that contain LUNs that do not need to be replicated.
A example is SQL. I've setup a CG to replicate all but the TempDB lun. In a DR situation this is not needed to be replicated as this database is recreate as needed.
So I get a warning in RecoverPoint (Orange Warning Triangle) - stating 'Storage Groups XXXXX, contains both replicated and non-replicated LUNs'
Is there a way to suppress this warning?
Thanks
Phil

The following is a Primus(R) eServer solution:
ID: emc295594
Domain: EMC1
Solution Class: 3.X Compatibility
Fact EMC SW: EMC RecoverPoint/SE 3.4
Fact EMC SW: EMC RecoverPoint Deployment Manager (DM)
Fact EMC SW: EMC RecoverPoint SE
Fact RecoverPoint Splitter: CLARiiON/VNX Splitter
Fact EMC SW: EMC RecoverPoint Management Console
Fact Product: EMC RecoverPoint Appliance (RPA)
Symptom RecoverPoint GUI shows an exclamation mark on the storage array with warning "Storage Group {Group} contains both replicated and unreplicated volumes"
Change New implementation or changes in the storage array
Cause The warning is only to inform the user that there are volumes which may need to be replicated but are not
Fix No workaround in RecoverPoint 3.4.x
The worning may be ingnored if the customer configuration dictates replicated and unreplicated luns in the same Storage Group
Fix:
This warning is removed in RecoverPoint 3.5

Hi Richard,
Many thanks for this - I will be meeting soon with our account manager - one item on the agenda is the upgrade/updates of our EMC kit.
