Recoverpoint 3.5 SP2 & vSphere 5.1 and VAAI
We had been told in that past that Recoverpoint 3.4 and vSphere 4.1 didnt allow for VAAI support. We have since upgraded recoverpoint to 3.5 SP2 and will be upgrading vSphere to 5.1 in the next few weeks. My questions is regarding the official support stance for VAAI and recoverpoint and VMAX storage. Any thoughts would be great

VAAI support with RecoverPoint has three dependencies
1) the RecoverPoint Splitter (VNX, VMAX, VPLEX) in use
2) the version for RecoverPoint that is supported with the splitter in use.
Specific to Block VAAI primitives, that is
1- ATS or CAS
2- xCOPY
3- WriteSame
4- Unmap
With VNX using RP 3.4 or later and Flare 31 , we support all 4 primitives.
With VMAX using RP 3.5 / RP 4.0 or above and Enginuity 5876 we support only the first ( ATS)
With VPLEX 5.1.2 and RP 3.5 or RP 4.0 we support ATS only, however VPLEX 5.2 with RP 4.0 we support ATS +WriteSame
Additional support will be added at future releases, so this is only accurate up to current releases as of the date of this post.

Is there any version scenarios between RP and VMAX that would allow for more than just one primitive to be supported?
