How to verify the RPA WAN link Bandwidth

We have RPA SE which is working on 1Mbps link and to have a proper DR setup we are now going to upgrade the link to 100 Mbps. My query is how to identify the current Bandwidth speed, as from GUI or CLI I was never able to identify that we are running on 1 Mbps. Also same applies when we upgrade to 100 Mbps, how to verify that we are really running on 100 Mbps link.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Ivan,

You can run the test without pausing the CGs but I would advise against it since this is a throughput test so it will have an impact on replication.

Also, you would need to enable the iperf server at the target RPA for the throughput test (also under the same "Test Throughput" sub-menu).

Idan

You can verify that by running speed test. The faster your download and upload the higher your bandwith.

Also, you can install networx to monitor your bandwith.

Hello Whillard,

So is there a command I can run to perform a speed test on RPA CLI?

Hi Ivan,

You can run a throughput test through boxmgmt CLI.

SSH with user boxmgmt and navigate to [3] Diagnostics -> [1] IP diagnostics -> [4]  Test throughput.

Hope that helps,

Idan

Hello Idan,

When I try to follow the provided path it notify me and request me to pause all groups to get the reliable data and after that give me a prompt if I want to continue.

I dont want to pause the transfer, what will happen if I say yes to the prompt.
