R630 IDSDM and TPM Part Numbers

Anyone know the part numbers for the IDSDM and TPM 2.0 modules on an R630?

Also, what SD cards (format and size) are supported for this IDSDM? The owners manual doesn't state this information.

Thanks!

PMR79 is the part number for IDSDM module for R630. R630 support 8, 16, 32 and 64GB SD cards.

Dear Shine K,

Just saw your answer to this article

I currently have a situation where I bought a brand new m48yr and installed it in the R630 and directly jumped tpm cannot be used on this platform. tpm is turned off. system will reset...
But your response is that the R630 should be installed with K98XH
See Dell forum other articles such as R730XD also discussed the TPM problem
My personal question is whether the 13G model machine should be installed m48yr or K98XH?

PS: Some people say m48yr boot can PASS and some say not
PS2: I have the parts directly through the original Dell purchase non-ebay items

Thanks for your help again!

Hi,

you could use both TPM 2.0 modules.

Please check if your BIOS is up-to-date and if the module is not defective.

Do you have any further questions?

Hi,

if you validated that your module is not defective you have to replace the motherboard.
