iDRAC 5.00.10.00
Any further details on the withdrawal of iDRAC firmware 5.00.10.00? If it's already applied, is it worthwhile to downgrade, or wait for the next version (which is due when)?

Hello @Philip-R,
It would be advisable to revert back to the previous version meanwhile wait for the newer version to be announced soon. Unfortunately I do not have any dates for the release.

Hi @DELL-Joey C,
I appreciate that Dell prefers running on supported version, and 5.00.10.00 is no longer a supported version, but the lack of specificity around the problem is itself a problem. Is this a "drop everything" type of security problem, or does it only affect certain limited use cases, or something in-between?
The time and effort needed to rapidly roll back isn't trivial, so could Dell please explain the nature of the problem?

Hi @Philip-R,
Unfortunately, I do have any visibility to the engineering notes to why the version has been removed. If you are not comfortable to rollback to the previous version, and need to know what was the reason it has been removed, I may advice that it is best to contact tech support to check with the SMEs.
