Exam Re-sit Policy
I've just taken, and sadly failed, E20-593. As this exam is due to expire on Jan 25th where do I stand with taking a re-sit ? I won't be able to get enough revision time in between now and then to make it worth taking the exam on the 25th. Can I still re-sit it in, say, a week or two or do I have to enrol on the Networker 8 course (at considerable expense to my employer) ?

No, you can sit for the E20-593 exam after January 25th. Only thing is the exam will be revised on that date and the exam content will be the revised one after the 25th and not the currently available version.

Hello,
Our retake policy is...
If you do not pass an exam on your first attempt, you may retake the exam any time. If you do not pass an exam on your second attempt, then you must wait at least 2 weeks (14 days) between each additional attempt. If you need to retake an exam that you have already passed in order to fulfill a certification track requirement, you may do so after 3 months.
The same can also be referred to in the EMC Proven Professional Policies & Guidelines.

Deepa, I appreciate that that is the general retake policy, but in this case am I still allowed to retake the exam after its expiry date of January 25th ? If I am, then that's fine, but I just want to be sure.

Hi Tony_L,
The E20-593 exam will cut over on the 25th of January 2013 and starting that day you will be able to appear for the revised exam only.
