System recovery to out of box

My nephews Inspiron 3520 laptop with Windows 8 got so messed up with malware, viruses and other things that we had no choice but to do a recovery on it. That went fine and the laptop is like out of box condition. He neglected to tell us that he had Dell install Microsoft home and student 2010 on the computer when he ordered it. Is there anyway that we can download the program from Dell beings it was only on his computer and has been removed because of the recovery. if so what is needed and can it be done online or is a call to Dell in order? He is a collage student and had a hard time coming up with the money the first time. Thank you, any advise would be very much appreciated.

Well that sure turned out to be simple! The MS office program is actually in the recovery partition. Just had to find it as I know very little about Windows 8, install it, do the key code thing and was up and running.

Hi Wayne3842,

Dell would ship a MPI card (Product Key printed copy) of Microsoft Office product along with the system so that you can use when you are reinstalling the product or reconfiguring the computer. Please use the link below to put in the product key and download the Microsoft office product.

Please let me know if this helps.
