V715W Printer Problem - Poor Printing
V715W Printer
Extremely poor color printing (if at all at times); black and white pictures unclear, with white lines throughout. This just started about a week ago.
Using Dell Compatible (new) cartridges (Chip) - could this be the source of the problem?
Multiple head alignment and deep cleaning procedures; no success. Test page prints with white lines through all sections; yellow hardly prints at all; ink levels show about half full on both black and white, and color.
Dell is suggesting a print head problem ($135 to replace).
I am considering uninstalling and reinstalling (can't find installation CD, but am told I don't need it - help)
Any suggestions?

MPatrylo,
Are you using Dell Series 21 or 24 ink cartridges?
Try reading...

I just bought 2 Series 21 color cartridges for the V715W (from Staples). The cartridges have two plastic, "flanges" (for lack of a better term) at the top of the nozzle end, which prevent the cartridge from clicking into place.
Clearly, the box says it's for the v715w printer. What gives? I'm very confused.

Problem resolved with Dell.
It appears to be a new design (the plastic tabs were not there before), and you have to be much more careful with the angle of insertion.
