Dahlsan61,

From the Announcement at the top of the page, Windows 10 Compatibility with Dell Printers

Dell suggests...

Installing Older Windows Printer Drivers in Windows 10

Try this procedure and see if the printer installs.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode you’ll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time (powered on).

Links to the drivers can be found at…

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

I did all the above and now my printer communicates with the computer but it prints blank pages. What I don't understand is I was printing fine with Windows 10 for a couple of months and then suddenly today it stopped communicating. So I uninstalled and then installed the older drivers and as stated it now communicates but prints blank pages.

mr amx,

Can you copy a document under the glass? Black and white and color?

Also you'll need to turn off the balloon tips for the printer. There is an issue with Internet Explorer 11 and the Dell V Series printers.

Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.

You did not come close to even answering the question. Windows 10 does not use IE 11 it uses Edge which is useless, so I am using Firefox. I also do not get any balloon tips so this is not relevant. I don't understand what copying under the glass means.

Dell does not make windows 10 drivers for the AIO printer. And the older versions do not work.

I believe the final answer is to uninstall windows 10 and reinstall windows 7.

mr amx,

I am trying to see if we can get the printer to work, even though there are no Windows 10 drivers offered.

In search, type

internet

You'll see an Internet Explorer Desktop app. If you open it, this will be Internet Explorer 11. So Internet Explorer 11 is installed on the system. You don't have to use it but having zInternet Explorer 11 installed, it causes the communication issues.

Thanks this did work, although when I turned off the printer and computer and printer and then turned on again, the printer didn't communicate any longer. I had to uninstall and reinstall several times to get it to work. Which it now is. Although it now prints a blank page first.
