V505 printer uninstall problems
I have a V505 printer which Dell informs me will never run on my Windows 8 XPS 8500 because they will not write a driver for Windows 8. Unfortunately, I had attempted to install it before I discovered this. I have purchased a printer that will work, but when I try to uninstall the V505 I get the message that the printer is in use and I must wait until it finishes the print job. There is no print job open and the printer is not in use. How can I force the uninstall operation to get rid of the V505 software? The Dell lack of support for this printer is giving me a lot of misgivings about Dell's commitment to its long time customers.

Prateek,
Thanks for your suggestion. I disabled the printer spooler long enough to rerun the V505 uninstall and it worked. It wasn't necessary to run Revo. I restarted the spooler prior to beginning install on the new printer.
Thanks again for your help

Hi teke128,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please use Revo Uninstaller to remove the Drivers for V505 from the system. Use this link: http://bit.ly/VZKmEa
Uninstall the drivers using the Advanced Uninstall option from the Revo Uninstaller. It is third party uninstaller software used to uninstall the drivers/programs from the computer, install it only if necessary.
The software prompts asking you to delete the Registry keys corresponding to the program. Select all and delete them. Restart the computer to remove any traces of the drivers/programs for V505.
Please post the results.
