V313w printer can not download the application list

I have updated my router, checked for new drivers for the printer, connected the printer to the lap top and it still can not download the application list. I sure would appreciate some help on this, as I have run out of ideas to try. I am using WIndows7 on the lap top.

I went to Norton and the printer was not listed in the Network Security May, I added that and also changed the trust level to full trust. Everything seems to be fine now, finally. Thank you so much for your help!!!

pdpal,

What type os security are you using on your wireless router? What channel?

Power off the wireless router, wait 20 mseconds, then power it bak on.

Unplug the printer from the wall for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.

Restart the computer, then see if it works.

Hi Rick,  I worked on it all day today and finally got the Dell Printer Home to load on the laptop. I can open it but nothing happens when I click on advanced, scan, or document and nothing shows up when I click on settings. I am using channel 11. I run Norton and Malwarebytes. I powered off the router and unplugged the printer and restarted the computer today, since I saw in another post you suggested that. I also have Abbey Fine Reader 6.0 but no program that says OCR on this laptop. I attached a USB cable from the laptop to the printer and could scan that way today and didn't even have to use the password on the printer. I remember trying something that may have been in Printer Home that said, dleaina.ini file can not be found. I tried so many things today can't remember actually if it was in Printer Home. It not download the list without the USB cable being connected. Thank for getting back to me!

pdpal,

Try reading...

Allow a printer past Norton

If that doesn't work, download and install Belarc Advisor to get your product key.

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool and then restart your computer. See if the printer functions properly. If yes, then reinstall Norton.

Abbyy Fine Reader is your OCR Program, needed to scan documents, PDF's and for faxing.
