V305 installation problems
I've had a Dell V305 printer for about two years now, and it worked just fine until-- long story short-- I wen to uninstall it from my desktop and then reinstall it. I found later that, somewhere along the line, I had misplaced the disc that had the original installation on it. So I went with the installation driver available online and found that, instead of installing it, every time I tried to use the program on our Windows Vista desktop, it would *uninstall* it continuously.
So I shrugged and gave it a try on my Windows 7 laptop. This time it would actually try to install, but it kept telling me that I need this Microsoft Framework 2.0 program to continue with the installation. I checked, and I have Windows Framework 3.5.1 already. Windows 2.0 is incompatable with my computer.
I can't install the printer on either my desktop or the laptop, for the reasons provided. When I went to try to contact Dell for support, I found that my warranty must've expired or something, since it can't locate the service tag.
I'm not very knowledgable about these things-- what should I do next? Any ideas on how to connect the printer either to my laptop or desktop, at this point? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hi
I would suggest you to install Net Framework 4.5 version from the below mentioned link:
http://bit.ly/PoGbAr
After that I would suggest you to install windows update on your system and make sure windows is up to date. Restart your system and uninstall the printer software. To uninstall please follow below mentioned steps:
1) Click start.
2) Click on all programs.
3) Click Dell printer.
4) Click uninstalls.
5) Restart your system.
Try to install printer software from below mentioned link, please select operating system before you start installation.

I hope that will fix your issue.
Please reply if you have any further questions
Thanks & Regards

@Prateek K
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I tried what you had suggested, but I am still having some issues.
When I went to install the printer through the link you provided, it still came up with the same message as before. I installed Framework 4.5, and I fully removed the printer from my laptop, from previous attempts to install it.
The message that popped up this time, as with last time, is as follows:
"Required System Software Not Installed
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 is required to continue. This software is available for free download at
Even though the message popped again, it appeared as though it had successfully installed. I went to Start, All Programs and I found that I have the items in the Dell Printer folder. I went to attach my Laptop to the printer, but it was unable to connect. After trouble shooting a bit, I came to this report:
"Issues found
There is no driver installed for Dell V305. Not fixed
Apply solution for driver problem Completed
Install a driver for this device Not run
PnP devices Detected
There is no driver installed for V305. Fixed
Apply solution for driver problem Completed
Install a driver for this device Completed
Driver updates aren't automatically installed when detected by Windows Update. Fixed
Change Windows Update settings Completed "
So, it says that I have the "V305" driver installed, but not the "Dell V305" driver. What would this mean?
