Photo964 but no All-in-One Center
After installing the software, getting the updated drivers and trying your tip on ABBYY (in OCR) . I still don't have the Dell All-in-One Center. I can scan but it's convoluted having to go to control panel then click on the printer which pulls up the printer and I can scan from there with very limited options. I have an HP2311x desktop running windows 7

archspec,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Start, control panel, programs and feature, your pritner, uninstall.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).
Links to the drivers can be found at...

Archspec again. The All-in-One Center is up and it scanned great. But now the printing jobs are "hung up" in the queue and aren't printing out. It doesn't matter if I'm trying to copy from within a document or PDF file or if I'm trying to copy from the all-in-one center (in this instance it scans but puts the doc into the queue as well).
Sorry to bother you again~

Rick, I tried unhooking and rehooking the printer and rebooting the computer and now it is printing. These things are so touchy! But woot woot! It is working for me now. Thanks~

Sue,
Glad you got it working! Thanks for posting back.
Take care,
Rick
Print one print job, the rest hang until you restart your computer issue...
The problem only started after Microsoft released Internet Explorer 11 in December. The easiest solution is to uninstall Internet Explorer 11 and the printing problem goes away.
Open Internet Explorer, click on Help, then click on About Internet Explorer. It should show the version there. If you have IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, Installed Updates, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click on Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.
Restart the computer, when prompted. Then see if your printer works.
The other option is to turn off the balloon tips for the printer.
Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.
