Old 926 not functioning with new Dell laptop (17 series) on Windows 8.1
Any suggestions for a new multifunction printer that would be compatible with Windows 8.1? I am on a budget and do not have printing/scanning needs that exceed 4-5 pages a month. Thanks.

No guarantee this will work but some people have gotten their printer to work.
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 8.1 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 8.1 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).

Hello Samin06,
Please take a look at the link below before replacing the printer. You can try installing the printer using the Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode.

If you still wish to proceed with replacement of the unit I would recommend either an inkjet printer from our partner Canon or a small laser printer.
