Dell V715w printer only printing blank pages
My dell V715w printer has recently not been printing any Microsoft word or excel files. The file will be sent to the printer and it will only print out a blank page, but if I try and print something from my email, it will print perfectly fine.
I have tried both wired and wireless printing with it and neither seemed to fix the problem. I have checked to make sure all the drivers are up to date and my ink levels are half full if not more. So, I do not believe it to be a low ink problem.
Can anyone help me? or give me tips as to how to fix this issue?
Thank you in advanced

Hi nick1490,
Welcome to the community.
Kindly try a stand alone copy on the printer to check if the issue occurs there as well. Remove the printer following the steps below:
http://dell.to/15shdnW
Then, re-install by following the steps mentioned in the link below:

Hi nick1490 ,
I appreciate the time and effort that you took to troubleshoot the issue. Have you checked a stand alone copy and if yes then let us know the results of the same.
Also, let us know if you were able to manually remove the printer and re-install it by following the steps above.
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.
Thanks and Regards

I was able to manually remove the printer and re-install it following the steps provided above, but that did not fix my issue. Regular photocopying works as well as scanning.

nick1490,
You can copy a document under the glass with no problems, correct?
You can scan a document to your computer with no problems, correct?
You can print from a website, just not Microsoft Word, Excel, correct?
Run Delete Print Jobs to remove stuck print job(s) from the queue, then restart the computer.
My suspisions are that Microsoft Word/Excel may have the issue. Make sure you have the product key for Microsoft Office before you do anything. Download Belarc Advisor and install and make sure you have the product keys for your programs.
The experiment, download and install Open Office It's FREE and works just like Microsoft Office.
Right click on the problem document, left click open with, then select Open Office (might be swriter(document) or smath(Excel))
Once you open the document, then click on file, print and make sure the proper printer is selected.
Can you print?
If yes, close the document. Open the document using Microsoft Office. Click on file, print and make sure the proper printer is selected.
What happens?

Hi nick1490,
In addition to what RockSt☆r-Rick K suggested, it would be better if you re-install the software(MS-Office) causing the issue. As copying and printing from other softwares are fine,it concludes there are no issues with the printer.
Check this article below to troubleshoot MS-Word print related issues:
support.microsoft.com/.../826862
You should consider re-installing MS-Office as issue primarily office happens on office related programs. Make sure that you re-install after checking open office as suggested in post above.
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.
Thanks and Regards

I can copy a document under the glass with no problem, as well as scan a document to my computer.
I use to be able to print emails/websites no problem, but now I am unable to.
I tried using Open Office to print anything off and it only printed a blank document just like I've been getting and I have also tried printing a Notepad file; same issue.
I have re-install Microsoft Word/Excel and tried them both again and still blank documents.

nick1490,
The printer can make a copy with no problems, so that tells us the problem is on your system. I would try reinstalling the printer, if the document did not print, even with Open Office.
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove stuck print job(s) from the queue.
Make sure the printer is not usb cable connected.
Start, control panel, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.
Restart your computer.
Make sure the printer was removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
With the computer online, insert the Dell V715w Printer disk, choose the proper selection, usb cable or network, choose additional computer(if network) and follow the instructions.
Reinstalling the printer may correct this.

I reinstalled the printer, again, I also ran the delete print jobs before uninstalling the printer; and I still have the same issue with it just printing blank pages.

nick1490,
You're saying you can copy a document under the glass, like a copying machine does and it prints.
Create a new document.
Copy all the information from the old document and paste it to the new document. Save the document under a new name. Hopefully the doc will have the .doc or Excel has the .xls extention at the end.
Now open the new document, click on file, print and make sure the proper printer is selected.
I have the following articles, for this printer...
Cleaning the Printhead on Dell AIO V313w, V515w, V715w, P513w, and P713W Printers
and
Troubleshooting Printhead Problems on the Dell AIO V313w, V515w, V715w, P513w, and P713W Printers

Hi nick1490,
I appreciate the time and effort that you took to troubleshoot the issue. Please print a test page following the steps in the video and let us know the results:
As, printer is copying fine it seems to be a software issue with the system. Do you have another system on which you can check this printer to isolate the issue?
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.
Thanks and Regards

Hi nick1490,
I appreciate the time and effort that you took to troubleshoot the issue. If possible please install this printer on a different system to isolate the issue.
As the printer is copying fine then it seems to be software issue with the system. And we might require to reinstall windows on the system which would result to data loss on the system.
Please check the printer on a different system and let us know the results, so we can advise you further. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.
Thanks and Regards

I have tried to create a new file and print it that way, making sure the printer was selected and it still printed a blank document, with nothing on it.
I followed the site for cleaning the printhead.
The troubleshooting printhead problems link took me to a site that was unavailable.
When I followed the video on "How to print a printer test page from windows 7" it printed out a document with the windows logo in the top left corner and the rest of the page blank. I was not sure if anything else was suppose to be on it.
