Dell V310 W Printer Malfunction
My Dell V310 Series Printer will print 1 document "job" perfectly, regardless of the number of pages. But it will not print the next job. The document will show up in the queue with status "printing". When I try to delete the document it reports "deleting" but the document remains in the queue. If I reboot the computer the document is no longer in the queue and if I select the document again it will print. But I can't print another document unless I reboot the computer. Turning the printer off and on has no effect. My computer is a Dell Studio XPS 9100 running Windows 7 and is connected to the printer via wireless LAN. I tried this on my wife's Dell notebook also running Windows 7 with the same results. The Printer reports it has the current drivers and firmware. I spent a lot of time today reloading the printer and LAN connection to no avail. The fact that it prints the first "job" perfectly and the printer sounds as though its going to print the next job but "stalls" is above my pay grade to fix. Appreciate any help. WEarp

WEarp,
In the December batch of Windows Updates, Microsoft installed Internet Explorer 11. IE11 had been causing printer problems.
Open Internet Explorer, click on Help, then click on About Internet Explorer. It should show the version there. If you have IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, Installed Updates, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click on Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.
Restart the computer, when prompted. Then see if your printer works.

Lately the pressure is mounting to install Internet Explorer 11 from Microsoft and many of websites I rely upon. Is it possible for someone at Dell to communicate with someone at Microsoft to find a solution that would allow Dell V310 Series Printers to work with IE11?

WEarp,
Turn off the balloon tips for the printer.
(Right click) Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.
