Dell B2375DFW has error when you try and scan
Here is my problem. I have a brand new Dell XPS 8700 with 16GB of RAM a i7 4790 processor with Windows 7 Pro 64 and a brand new Dell B2375dfw printer. I have the printer plugged up via USB 2.0 port and also have it connected to the wireless network. I really just want it hooked up via USB.
I want to scan a document into the computer and when I use the Scan to PC option it gives me the error below. I would assume that a computer with 16 GB of RAM would be more than sufficient. I am also using the default settings with the resolution 300dpi, Letter scan size (that is the only thing I changed), and it saved via pdf.
I figured perhaps it has something to do with the location so I create a new scan to option and create a new folder on the desktop with everyone sharing permissions. Still it gives the same error.
I did also try and see if there is firmware out there that might resolve this issue but I have also found that I am using the most current version. I also downloaded the most recent software off of the website but I am currently using the most up to date software.
I know it is not a virus as there is nothing on this computer for it to block it. I do have McAfee that came on the computer but I disabled the real time scanning and the firewall but that didn't resolve it either.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I am at a loss as to what it could be. Maybe something is wrong with the software. Perhaps a compatibility issue.
Thanks,

I did do a work around to fix the issue for those that might have the same problem before the scanning. I ended up networking the printer (via wireless) and then setting up a folder and giving it "everyone" permissions. I then just used "Scan to Network Folder" on the printer and it worked perfectly fine.
All that being said I tried it back the USB method and for some reason it has started working correctly via USB. I tried it several times thinking that I might be just dreaming it but now it works fine. Maybe it was a glitch or something.
