Dell AIO 926 Will not turn on

My Dell AIO 926 printer/scanner will no longer turn on when I press the power button. I have unplugged it and I have unplugged the power brick from it and I have left them unplugged for several minutes many times, but it still will not turn on under any circumstances.

Any help would be appreciated.

I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong thread. I am new to the forum, and I haven't found this question addressed before.

Thank you.

Hi sedgar69,

It looks like the printer is not working properly and it needs to be replaced.

To check if the printer is in warranty I request you to private message the system service tag number. To private message, accept my friend request; click on my user name and click start conversation.

You can also check warranty status of the printer online by clicking on the link below: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/TroubleShooting/ProductSelector

Hi sedgar69,

We can try few troubleshooting steps:

1.Verify if the power button is being pushed

2.Remove static power (if any) from the printer.

3.To remove the static power, disconnect the power cable from the back of the computer, then press the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect the power cable back to the printer.

The printer is not making noise and no LED lights are lit: Check the power source, remove any devices between the computer and the power outlet, and swap the power cable with a known-good power cable.

Do post back the results.

Thank you for your response.

I am certain it is the power button that I am pressing.

I have tried the method you described in step 3, holding the button down for about two minutes with the brick and cable detached, and the printer still will not turn on.

I would have to buy another power cable of the same type to use another cable. I will see if I can get one.

If the cable is plugged into the power brick, the green light on the power brick comes on, but it pulses slightly.

The printer had been behaving erratically before this problem. If I tried to print something, I would get a message saying the computer couldn't communicate with the printer. When I switched the printer on manually, this problem would be resolved, but now I cannot turn the printer on manually.

Thank you.

Thank you for your help.

I am fairly sure it is not still under warranty, but I would like to check.

I didn't receive your friend request, so I couldn't start a conversation.

The page that the link leads to doesn't seem to be working either.
