Dell 968w Printer windows 10

Hi

I have a Dell 968w printer that I am trying to get to work with  Windows 10.  Yesterday I uninstalled  the printer and down load the drivers from DELL  and ran in compatibility mode.   The Printer will report document pending but not print .  The test page would print after bein DRIVER being install.  Strangely if I restart the computer what is in pending mode will print on start up. The service tag is<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

.  thanks for any help in advance

I tried and reinstalled the original drivers and still am not able to get the printer to print.  Jobs are sent and are visible in windows 10 for the printer, but nothing is printed.

DWAYNE --,

From the Announcement at the top of the page, Windows 10 Compatibility with Dell Printers

Dell suggests...

Installing Older Windows Printer Drivers in Windows 10

Try this procedure and see if the printer installs.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode you’ll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time (powered on).

Links to the drivers can be found at…

I also faced the same problem when I update my pc to windows 10. I think the problem may occur for the new windows which have an inbuilt firewall which automatically spams the driver and uninstalled it from the pc. I try to disable the firewall but succeed. if anyone has a solution then help I get a solution from  this page.
