Dell 946 AIO windows 7 64 bit, after install AIOC.exe has stopped working

I have been extremely annoyed at this issue and it seems there are tons of threads but none of the solutions work for me.

I have a Dell AIO 946.

Windows 7 64BIT fully updated

I installed the win 7 64 driver (5 or 6 times by now)

Prints perfectly fine, when i want to us Dells Aioc.exe i get the AIOC has stopped working.

I tried fresh install after using the cleanup utility same thing.

changed usb ports, set usb ports to not go to sleep to save power

The drive is R145441 from dell site.

Here is the log for when the error stops working:

Yes all the updates are done.

Here is what fixed it in case anyone needs to know

Right click my computer

Go to properties

on the left side click advanced system settings

Under Performance click settings

Under Data Execution Prevention tab

check Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select

Then Add

Then navigate to the Dell printer folder  c:\program files\dell AIO printer 946\

add all the files that are shown

there was prob 8 of them.....then it worked perfectly.

Hi emaluzer,

I apologize for all the inconvenience this issue has caused and promise you that I will do my best to resolve this issue to your satisfaction.

Kindly run this patch to remove the existing printer driver/software from the system:

downloads.dell.com/.../R166247.zip

Then, install the drivers from the link below:

downloads.dell.com/.../R145441.exe

Please perform these steps and let us know the results, so we can advise you further.

Thanks and Regards
