B1160W wireless was working and now can't connect - tried rerunning setup and also WPS pairing and neither works now
Had this working on my PC then tried to add the wireless capability to my wife's PC and now it doesn't work on either. Tried uninstall/reinstall using setup from install CD, 2) tried wireless setting program, and 3) also tried WPS pairing. Printer can see the network but seems to forget the network password. I am 100% sure the password is correct and reconnected iphone, PC etc just to be sure. I can print out the network config and also use the printer via USB cable but the lack of wireless is very frustrating. I have installed the latest firmware and my PC is Windows 7. I have 30 years PC experience and have built machines and done all sorts of software installations. Is there a machine reset that can be done? Otherwise I'm convinced it's some kind of corruption in the wireless capability. My warranty goes through 2/23/15

I finally got it working again. I connected the USB cable from the printer to the computer. I went to my installed programs directory, and selected Dell, and there was a application called "maintenance" which allowed me to "repair/reinstall" the driver that was originally working OK (then stopped working). Then in the same Dell folder was an application called "wireless setting program".
I followed the instructions, with cable still connected, and manually entered my "wifi password", in the dialog box. I got the message "installation failed, try again?" I selected "yes", this time I received message "wireless setup successful".
Then I disconnected the USB cable from the printer, and now it works wireless again. It did change the 'assigned' name of the printer from "DELL******" followed by a bunch of numbers. The new name of the printer was changed to "Dell 1160w mono laser printer", which is the more proper description of the printer anyway, so I don't mind the change.
The original name of the printer was "assigned" from the original installation when I had used the "wifi" button on both the printer and the router. But, since those buttons no longer worked to solve the problem, the manual install using the cable solved my problem.
I did not bother to try to download the latest drivers from their web site, to see if that was the problem, because when troubleshooting I wanted to use the driver that I already "knew" worked with my current configuration. I may update my driver some day, when I am willing to have my printer stop working again. But, for now "If it is not broke, don't fix it". :-)

I have the same model, and it stopped working this week also. I am wondering if one of the Windows updates might be the cause? Otherwise, it seems too much of a coincidence. I can no longer connect by wireless. I tried rebooting, pairing buttons, nothing works. I have a Vista platform. It worked fine for the past year.

I also have the same model and it has quit working. It was working fine on two different computers that have Windows 8.1, but now it says the driver is missing. It is connected to one of the computers with USB. I have tried reinstalling the driver from the disk (which worked before) and get this message: Windows can't install the Dell B1160w Mono Laser Printer print driver. To obtain a driver that is compatible with the version of Windows you are running, contact the manufacturer. So I downloaded the Windows 8.1 driver from the Dell site and I couldn't install it either. It said that the system cannot find the file specified.
