948 Printer: Lost Computer names when trying to scan over wireless
I have replaced my wireless router and managed to get as far as reconfiguring my 948 printer so that I can now print successfully from PCs on the network. However, when I come to select "Scan to Computer" from the menu on the printer, the list of computer names that used to be there on my previous wireless network no longer appear. Instead, the only option I get is to select "U", which then requires a PIN number. Any ideas on how I get it to recognise PCs on the network. Thanks.

Thanks for looking into this. I managed to sort it out in the end by reinstalling the printer drivers on one of the PCs. Once this was done, all the PC names were suddenly accessible from the printer.

richbar,
What is the make and model of your wireless router and the type security you're using? What channel?
Using he wireless adapter in the printer, correct?

Hi Rick. I am using a Huawei HG533 router with WPA-PSK security, currently channel 1.
Yes - I am using the wireless adaptor in the 948.

richbar,
Try channel 11? Also look at the Recommended Wireless Router Settings to make sure your settings match mine.
Check your virus program and firewall settings?
