1355cn stopped scanning

My 1355 cn is on my home network.  I print to it fine, and have scanned from it over the network to an app.  The other day it stopped scanning.  Nuance PaperPort (bundled with the printer) now says when running the scanner setup wizard that "No scanner detected.  Either the power of the scanner is off, or the cable is not properly connected, or the IP Address Settings are not correctly entered."  I'm running Windows 7.  In checking the Printer Selection dialogue it indicates that the printer has a valid address and is in Power Saving mode, and has a green check mark.  I can still print to it.  ???

Since posting this I saw another thread on the same issue. The printer is supplied with the PaperPort 12 software and when selecting 'scan' the software reports 'No Scanner found'. There is a button on the bottom of the PaperPort Dialog Box with 'Port'. I selected that, made no changes, just accepted the settings and then tried to scan again - and it works as before!

I have the same problem. I uninstalled the printer and all the Paperport software. I cleaned the Registry to remove any sign of the printer and Paperport software and reinstalled it all again - but it still won't work. I have also tried manually configuring the port but nothing works. All I have is a colour printer working but no scanner. Is there any answer published for this problem? I suspect the problem was caused by a Windows update.

Thanks.  In my case I had to accept the "broadcast" value, but it worked. :emotion-1:
