Unallocated partition after RAID 0

Hello to everyone.

I have two SSDs (both 512gb) on my DELL laptop.

I tried to set RAID 0 between them, using Intel optane memory and storage management.

Before this operation, I set the "raid on" option for the SSDs in the BIOS.

The result is that I have a new partition on Disk 0, but this is an unallocated partition (with 512gb storage capacity) and the OS partition (C), always with 512gb capacity.

The problem is that I can't merge them, neither using "Computer manager" (Windows 10), nor using external softwares, such as AOMEI partition assistant (as recommended by DELL).

Infact, if I try to right-click on the OS partition, I can't select the "expand volume" voice.

What can I do, to merge these partitions?

Thanks in advance,

Giovanni

@Giovanni96  Your first screenshot shows the problem. You have two partitions between the C partition you’re trying to extend and the unallocated space you want to use. You need to move those two partitions to the end of the disk.

@Giovanni96  Can you post a screenshot that shows your partition layout? You can only extend a partition into unallocated space that is directly at the end of the existing partition. If you have a partition between your Windows partition and the unallocated space, you won’t be able to extend the partition into that space. In that case you would either need to make an image backup of your disk and restore it differently, or you can use live repartitioning software such as MiniTool Partition Wizard to move the “blocking” partitions to the end of the disk, at which point your unallocated space will be directly after your Windows partition, so you should be able to extend it.

Dear jphughan,

I'm attaching pictures of the partitions (both with windows tool and with AOMEI).

Moreover, I'm attaching what reports Intel Optane.

(Last picture to show that I checked the possibility to maje the RAID 0 with the SSDs).

Thanks a lot for the help,

Dear jphughan,

I followed your advice using Minitool Partition Wizard (switching the 2 partition to the rightest position) and I could merge the OS with the unallocated partition.

I want to thank you a lot for your tip and your prompt assistance.

Best reguards,

Giovanni
