Precision 7770 hanging after lite touch download on MDT
Hello
We've been imaging Dell PCs for a while now so we've had the process down. We recently got the Precision 7770 and the PC can't seem to launch lite touch after the files have been transferred. We get this result whether we launch it through windows or PXE boot. The Dell logo displays and it just hangs. Has anyone else had this issue and what did they do to resolve it?
We made sure that the BIOS was updated.
Disabled secure boot
Tried a Dell USB C to ethernet adapter

Hey,
go to the BIOS Setting, then Display and disable the "Hybrid Graphics". After your Deployment you can enable it back. It's just an workaround, but for me it helped to install every Precision 7670 Devices which I have here.

I have also had MDT completely regenerate the boot images as well

i'm also running into this issue on a 7670.
i've tried the new winpe driver pack, and that gives me an iastorafs.sys error, replacing that driver in the cab file, turning off secure boot, switching from raid to achi
we've also successfully imaged an XPS 9315 with no issues
looking forward to a solution.

I was given this feedback
"“Sounds like the IRST driver issue. IRST use’s VMD and Non VMD drivers which are both in the driver cabs. Have the cx try using removing from extracted cabs the non vmd inf file.”"

We are on the latest version of MDT tools and also on windows build 2004 so that didn't work for us.

OK, so if updating the tools and such didn't work, has anyone tried this from MECM (aka SCCM)?

I worked with the Dell Technician for this very same issue. It came down to the boot.wim was from the Windows 10 1709 build and was too old to use with the new hardware. I was told to update the boot.wim to at least Windows 10 1909 build, but better if I could get the latest Windows 11 build. Now I have to update the MDT Server with the latest MDT and ADK Tools to make this happen. It will take some time to do this so I don't know if this will work or not.

This worked perfectly for me. I've been struggling with this problem as well and disabling Hybrid Graphics did the trick. Thank you!!
