Precision 7750 install Windows from USB

I purchased a 7750 with no OS since I have my own licensing, Ubuntu is installed by default. I disabled secure boot, tried Fastboot on both Thorough and Auto, set USB as the first device in the boot sequence. I created the bootable USB in Rufus, partition scheme GPT, target system UEFI (non CSM) etc. However all I get is the same message "No media present" and it blows right past the USB drive and boots Ubuntu. What am I missing here?

@M1Systems  With UEFI systems you don't muck with the boot order in the BIOS when you want to boot from USB.  Just use the F12 one-time boot menu and select it there.  This is actually a faster way to do things even on a BIOS-based system since you don't have to mess with a boot menu both before and after your temporary need to boot from USB, but on a UEFI system, boot options for local storage have to be registered into the firmware, and those options point to a specific bootloader file on a specific partition of a specific disk.  By comparison, the options in the F12 menu are dynamically populated based on discovered devices that have a bootloader file at \EFI\Boot\Bootx64.efi, which is a standard path defined in the UEFI spec.

Ahh I see the options now on the one time boot list and Windows setup comes up. I had added a boot option, the one that had USB in the description and was trying to use that. All this stuff has changed so much LOL. Thanks!

I've done the same here, however, I can boot with the USB windows media, but the installation can not recognize any hard drive to use for installation.

@xdije If the system is set to RAID mode in the BIOS rather than AHCI, then you probably need to supply the Intel RST driver using the Load Driver option at the part of the wizard where you specify where to install it.  Otherwise you can switch your system to AHCI as long as you don't plan to actually use a RAID array or Intel Optane storage.

Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately I tried this first and didn't help.
