Will changing the HD on a Precision 7770 Triger a flag with my IT Admin? in my Company?

Ok then, the 7770 has chassis intrusion.  Chassis intrusion detection is a helpful security feature, especially for large corporate networks. This intrusion detection method can alert a system administrator when someone opens a computer case; she/he can then investigate it and determine if anyone has tampered with the computer hardware. I am guessing that is what you wanted to know.

Thank you for caring about the legalities and morals,  but still I would like to know if doing this will Triger anything.

Personally if you have to ask about doing this on the sly and not mentioning it to the IT folks, then it is probably not a good idea. When I had a company supplied laptop, I had to confirm any changes and never had any that they agreed to. They are the folks that have the responsibility to maintain equipment in proper working order and take a dim view of any employee outside of IT that decides to modify that hardware. I would suggest you ask them about the change you anticipate doing.
