DELL PRECISION M4800 Battery Replacement
Hello friends, I'm DUDE.
I have a laptop "DELL PRECISION M4800" . I need a battery replacement ( ORIGINAL) and I couldn't find that anywhere, not even in an official Dell Service Centre. I'm out of warranty , so I'm not getting phone support, can you guys help me find an Original Battery Replacement?
My Laptop's Battery Specifications are : 97Wh , Standard Rechargeable Li-ion Battery, Type FJJ4W 11.1V .

Ya I've managed to get a battery from the nearest official dell service center. Though I got a new battery by paying Rs.7000, its okay I mean in terms of performance. It's exactly not equal to the original one that we get with the Laptop, but it's like 80% good.

Your best bet is to find a reliable third-party battery supplier. This system is on the order of 8-9 years old -- OEM batteries are produced for no more than five years -- making anything you find "new" at least 3-4 years old before you even start using it.

@ejn63 Thank you for writing in , ya dude I've checked as you said, contacted many 3rd party sellers at our regional computer market, but didn't find a solution. Parts-people is also not able to ship to me. I mailed to dell too, but no solution yet. Any other way to get out of this issue dude?

@Chino de Oro Thank you for writing in, ya as you've said I checked it (the link @ parts-people) and at present it is available also (28/01/2022) but it said this "ERROR: Cannot Ship Lithium Ion Battery To Your Country". Any other solution ?

@Dudeism , no luck , parts-people will ship other components to your region but not lithium batteries. You will have to look for after-market compatible battery because most genuine batteries sold on worldmarts.in and lapsgadgets.in are likely faked. Find seller/store who offers warranty and accepting return. Good luck dude!

My earlier battery (original from dell) would give me a backup of 5.5 hrs, this new one which i recently purchased is giving me 4-4.5 hrs backup.

Dude hi!!
Having same thoughts for my m4800 that I had more then 9 years now. Looked at some Surface Laptop but my 24gb ram that I've had since day one is expensive many laptops only have 16gb which should be fine tho. Anyway, new battery it is!
Is the best bet to talk to your local Dell directly? Live in Sweden tho. Want a original battery and not some worse then I've already have, get 1 hour from the original one now.
Dell built this laptop too well!! And I don't want Windows 11 anyway

On the same boat. Depending on Amazon / eBay for a compatible one. Most of the time it is plugged in but needs it to support when the power goes away for a few minutes here in Florida.

Given that the system was released in 2013, and that OEM parts are avaialble for about five years thereafter, any original battery you find will date from 2018 at newest -- making it five years old before you even start using it.
Look for a reliable third-party supplier -- and one that will back the battery with a year warranty.
Anything OEM will be old stock and unlikely to perform anywhere near 100%.
