Dell Precision 7760 WWAN Card

Good afternoon,

I am looking for a solution. I have bought a Precision 7760 in January, received in March.

I have regretted not ordering it with a WWAN card installed, so I have bought a DW5930E Qualcomm X55 Global 5G Modem directly from Dell Canada. After install, it was not recognized. I have called to open a case at Dell Support, they have sent a tech in with another WWAN Card. He did confirm the issue and recommend a Laptop replacement. Dell had replaced the Laptop with a new one, but told me it has to be exactly as it was when I ordered it at first (without the WWAN Card). On reception of the new LapTop I have installed the WWAN Card I have received from the order I did after the purchase.

But unfortunately, the card is not recognized by Windows ????  I when to check in the BIOS/Connection, the GPS/WWAN is checked, and in the main page of the BIOS it says « installed » under WWAN Card.

I am hopeless and very desapointed.

Anyone has a clue of what would be a possible solution ?

Thank You,

Rixhard

Did you go to the support page here and install the driver and firmware? The below sentence indicates that the card will not communicate with Windows without the driver and firmware installation.

"The GNSS driver is a program that enables the GNSS hardware to communicate with the operating system".

It works….

I was trying to install version 1.0.0.35 which I thought it was a more recent update….. but after looking at the details pages of the update… I realized version 1.0.0.29 you made me install was the one to enable the card for AT&T.

Thanks so much!
